About

My name is Tracy Varndell and I have had a passion for photographing people for as long as I can remember. My aim is to make images that capture that one moment when you can see more than meets the eye. Images that you will want to look at time and time again, not gathering dust in the drawer or lost in the attic.

My approach to photography is simple and I believe that my strength lies in being able to make my subjects feel relaxed and enjoy the experience of being photographed. The most important thing for me is that you receive pictures that you will love.

I shoot in both natural and artificial light and I will travel to your home or a location chosen by you. I am based in Surrey but am happy to travel throughout the UK.

For me, taking a picture is about capturing the character of an individual. Each person is unique: their face, their smile, their eyes. When I undertake a commission I hope to provide you with something that reflects that uniqueness and captures the essence of the sitter.

My studio is mobile and I will come to your home which means that you remain comfortable in your own environment and feel relaxed and at ease. A sitting usually takes about 1½ to 2 hours which includes set up time. If you have a specific location in mind that is special to you then that is not a problem.

I hope to gain natural smiles and with children those funny faces that happen when you least expect them. Children should enjoy having their photograph taken and I am hopeful that my final images reflect this.
